Drimoleague National School has been involved in the Green School Programme since November 2016, with the whole school community dedicated to making our school and grounds a beautiful and environmentally friendly place to learn.
We have successfully been rewarded the Litter and Waste, Energy, Water and Transport flags. Each flag takes two years to complete and this year we are currently in our second year working on the Biodiversity flag. We hope to submit our completed application at the end of school year 2020-2021, with the possibility of being rewarded our fifth flag before the end of June
Green-Schools is Ireland’s leading environmental management and education programme for schools. Promoting long-term, whole-school action for the environment Green-Schools is a student-led programme with involvement from the wider community.
