We were recently delighted to accept a donation of twelve brand new child-friendly Bibles for the school. A huge míle buíochas to Drimoleague/ Drinagh parish and our parish priest, Fr. Eoin, for organising the donation.

Some of our 4th class boys who had sporting success recently in road bowling, soccer and in the young handlers for ponies class at Cork Summer Show. Well done boys!!!
Some photos of our school tour to West Cork Secret. All children got to take part in a variety of different activities such as team building games, go cart racing and of course getting really muddy. A big thank you to everyone at West Cork Secret, we will be back!!
On Thursday of our ‘Active Week’ all pupils took part in a sponsored walk. We were lucky that the rain stayed away and everyone has a great time. We took a break at the ‘Stepping Stones’ to enjoy a well earned sweet treat. Thank you to everyone who supported our walk, we had a fantastic response and it is greatly appreciated.
As part of our active week activities coaches for ‘West Cork Volleyball Club’ came to our school to do a session with all pupils. A big thank you to Daniela and Sarah for teaching the children some of the basics about volleyball. A super way to spend the afternoon.
On Tuesday of Active Week pupils enjoyed a sports afternoon at the GAA pitch. The children took part in different activities including rounders, traditional races, team building activities and penalty shoot out games. A great afternoon was had by all.





On Monday of our Active Week some of our pupils took part in a show and tell on some of the sports they take part in. Some of the sports included soccer, road bowling, horse riding, gymnastics and Tae Kwon do. Thank you to everyone who took part. The pupils of Drimoleague N.S. are a talented bunch!!!
We recently welcomed Chuck the Science Guy and the children were given the opportunity to try out different science experiments and activities. What a lovely way to spend the afternoon! A big thank you to Chuck for doing such fun science activities with us.
4th and 5th class pupils have being learning embroidery and sewing with the help of Mr. Jennings and our SNA Noreen. Well done everyone!!








A big thank you to Catherine from Green Schools for returning to our school during May to take our pupils on a walk in the local area to observe trees and plants growing in our hedgerows. Some of the plants we observed were the Hawthorn, dandelions, fuchsia and holly trees. It was a lovely way to spend the morning and we all learned something new about our local hedgerows
