Sixth Class created a podcast, Chess Piece Oracles, for the Ficheall competition. They brought the game to life by interviewing chess pieces about their roles and strategies. From the Queenβs power to the Pawnβs perspective, each piece had a story to tell.

RNLI Water Safety Webinar



Our 4th class pupils recently took part in a water safety webinar. The webinar was very informative and provided the children with lots of safety tips ahead of a busy summer at beaches and by the water.
Amber Flag



We were delighted to be awarded with a a new Amber Flag. A big well done to all pupils and especially our Amber Flag Committee who worked really hard during the year, they were awarded certs to acknowledge their hard work.
Brand New Bibles

We were recently delighted to accept a donation of twelve brand new child-friendly Bibles for the school. A huge mΓle buΓochas to Drimoleague/ Drinagh parish and our parish priest, Fr. Eoin, for organising the donation.

Some of our 4th class boys who had sporting success recently in road bowling, soccer and in the young handlers for ponies class at Cork Summer Show. Well done boys!!!
School Tour – West Cork Secret
Some photos of our school tour to West Cork Secret. All children got to take part in a variety of different activities such as team building games, go cart racing and of course getting really muddy. A big thank you to everyone at West Cork Secret, we will be back!!
Sponsored Walk
On Thursday of our ‘Active Week’ all pupils took part in a sponsored walk. We were lucky that the rain stayed away and everyone has a great time. We took a break at the ‘Stepping Stones’ to enjoy a well earned sweet treat. Thank you to everyone who supported our walk, we had a fantastic response and it is greatly appreciated.
Volleyball – ”Serving up Smiles and Spikes”π
As part of our active week activities coaches for ‘West Cork Volleyball Club’ came to our school to do a session with all pupils. A big thank you to Daniela and Sarah for teaching the children some of the basics about volleyball. A super way to spend the afternoon.
Sports Afternoon
On Tuesday of Active Week pupils enjoyed a sports afternoon at the GAA pitch. The children took part in different activities including rounders, traditional races, team building activities and penalty shoot out games. A great afternoon was had by all.

On Monday of our Active Week some of our pupils took part in a show and tell on some of the sports they take part in. Some of the sports included soccer, road bowling, horse riding, gymnastics and Tae Kwon do. Thank you to everyone who took part.
