Volleyball

All pupils have enjoyed volley ball coaching once a week since September with Daniela from West Cork Volleyball Club. We enjoyed learning lots of new skills and practising them in fun volleyball games. A big thank you to Daniela, it was great to have her back for a block of coaching this year.

Sporting Achievements

Recently Clann na Gael u12s were successful in winning the Rebel Óg West U12 Football League Shield Final. Congratulations to everyone involved especially all Drimoleague N.S pupils who were part of the panel. We were delighted when the shield was brought in to school by the team captain. Well done to all involved.

A big congratulations also to Drimoleague N.S pupils who were part of the U12 Drinagh Girls team who recently who the League Final. A big well done to all involved.

Bí Cineálta and World Mental Health Day

On October 10th we celebrated World Mental Health Day and Bí Cineálta Day where we launched our child friendly BÍ Cineálta Policy. We enjoyed lots of fun activities during the day including a wellbeing webinar with Fiona Forman, poster making and a games afternoon. We had lots of great discussions around ways in which we can be kind to others. Our new Bí Cineálta sign is now on display in our school.

Food Dudes Week 2025

This week all pupils took part in Food Dudes Week. During the week we had lots of delicious fruit and vegetables delivered including apple and tomato, satsuma and cucumber, banana and carrot and blueberries and peppers. Everyone enjoyed having fresh fruit and vegetables every day.

Drimoleague Singing Festival 2025

We were delighted to be asked again this year to take part in a singing workshop as part of the Drimoleague Singing Festival. The children attended a three day workshop led by Susan Mc Manamon and organised by the Drimoleague Singing Festival Committee. During the workshops the children learned a variety of different songs which they will perform on Sunday night at the closing concert. We would like to thank Susan for preparing the children and to the festival committee for the invitation.

Chess podcast

Sixth Class created a podcast, Chess Piece Oracles, for the Ficheall competition. They brought the game to life by interviewing chess pieces about their roles and strategies. From the Queen’s power to the Pawn’s perspective, each piece had a story to tell.

Amber Flag

We were delighted to be awarded with a a new Amber Flag. A big well done to all pupils and especially our Amber Flag Committee who worked really hard during the year, they were awarded certs to acknowledge their hard work.
